A colorful masterpiece!

As the other reviewer stated, this book is in full color. This is both a enormous bonus to the book (the food looks fantastic and you can almost taste it just from the picture) but also the source of the only flaw I have found in the book. On Page 66 when listing the associations with the element of air, the use a yellow font on a white background. I find it very difficult to read this, but after struggling did so.
One of the most important thing I think this book covers is how you and your energy effect the food you create and eat. A meal made with intent (such as love) will be a hundred times better than one without it and I must say I consider what I am feeling when I cook and what I am eating now much more often.
I have been a fan of Chef Elsen's cooking for the last decade, and I am very happy to to be able to bring his recipes to my table and those of my friends. So far I have only been able to create one pf his recipes, the vegetarian jambalaya, and I felt like I did an excellent job of following the recipe and steps as outlined in the book. Michael system makes it easy for you to follow despite the level of skill of the cook. Just follow his instructions, and your meal will be a success. My friends and I are looking forward to our next experiment from this book!

Fabulous Book!

I was given this book as a Yule gift and promptly sat down and practically read it from cover to cover the first day. I love how this book starts out with basic magickal principles so that pagans, Wiccans and non-pagans can infuse their food with magickal intent. I think that this will even serve a long practicing "Kitchen Witch" as a great refresher.
I have been using magickal intention when cooking for years, but with this book, I know that I will be able to expand on that quite nicely. I plan on using the Texas Caviar and Collards for my New Year's Day meal.

Delicious!

My husband and I thoroughly enjoy the food we have created using this book. The recipes are easy to follow but result in some really interesting and complex flavors. The tomato soup is my new favorite, and my husband loves the blueberry cobbler! I had never thought about food having magickal potential before reading this book, but I enjoyed the well thought out explanations and now I can't help but to find myself paying more attention to what I'm doing in the kitchen. Now when I make our meals I consider the properties of the food and how I'm preparing it on a much deeper level than before, which makes cooking that much more enjoyable; and the food tastes even better. This book has definitely become vital to my kitchen.
