DON'T bother, kills off adored main character

So, read the first book, Rage and really liked it. So, I skipped to book 3 because I really liked his sidekicks Crash & Gap. But, this book pissed me off & upset me because she killed off Gap just as he found his female....he was so sweet and excited....the whole thing broke my heart. And for me that overshadowed the entire book. I almost quit reading it after that....I mean really, if you are going to kill off a main character, news flash...don't kill off the one everyone adored....if I wanted to see crap like that I would watch the flippin news. So now I won't be reading anymore of this series, I read for entertainment, not to be emotionally spent...not worth it.

One of my favorite writers has put out another awesome read.

Wow. Just: wow. I love Ms Sax's writing, and in so many ways.
Firstly, I love her attention to detail and her just plain, old adherence to the rules of sentence structure. I don't have to mentally edit her writing as I read, such as switch tenses, add or subtract words, punctuation, and/or even change pronouns. You have no idea how many times I have had to 're-write' as I read, and in this day and age I believe that if you want money for something the consumer deserves something at least half-way decent. There is nothing schleppy about her command of her mother tongue.
Secondly, I love her imagination. From the beautiful and unusual names that she picks for her heroines (that are perfect foils for the plain but masculine names that she gives her heroes) to her world and story line building. Nicely done. Her suspension of disbelief is on target. It is easy to lose oneself in her cyborg world. I know that people think that the first book is the most jarring, but this one shook me up the most(and I won't give away anything so as to not spoil anything for anyone).
Thirdly, Holy Hot Tamales. GF can write sizzle, and with a capital 'S'. The neuro-sex that the couple have in the beginning was awesome. If we could do that I think that no one would leave their home.....OK, I wouldn't. Though Sayfre wasn't my favorite heroine (Joan is my favorite), and only because I personally don't really connect to such dominant women, to Ms. Sax's credit she made me like her due to her excellent writing skills. Crash, like all her cyborgs, are just too scrumptious for words. They are some of my perfect fictional males.
I look forward to all her writing, and most especially her cyborgs. So glad to hear that Menace will get his Lady Love at some point. Now, I really need to get to work burning the candle at both ends now to make up for not working last night, since I was too busy reading. Awesome job, Ms. Sax, and I always look forward to reading your books!

Excellent Series

This is a 4-1/2 star review. Thank you Cynthia Sax. I have been waiting for Crash's story for a while and I was almost hesitant to read it because I really loved Rage but wasn't all that enthused with Vapor. I didn't know how Crash would go, but needless to say, I read this in one sitting. I love strong heroines, and she definitely was strong (it didn't get 5 stars because the heroine had a nasty mouth and could've used a lot less "FU" lines - it was almost like every other time she spoke to Crash she told him to "F-off". It was fine in the beginning, but after... it just became tasteless). Crash was an excellent character and I love his passion. The chemistry between the two is fantastic. My heart broke for Gap but I understand why that was done. It definitely showed the ultimate development of the main characters' feelings for each other. I also loved how the book ended. This was a very well-written book (not as dark as Rage for those who may be weary of that).
