Maria Manuela Cruz-Cunha is currently an Associate Professor in the School of Technology at the Polytechnic Institute of Cavado and Ave, Portugal. She holds a Dipl. Eng. in the field of Systems and Informatics Engineering, an M.Sci. in the field of Computer Integrated Manufacturing and a Dr.Sci in the field of Production Systems Engineering. She teaches subjects related with Information Systems, Information Technologies and Organizational Models to undergraduate and post-graduate studies. She supervises several PhD projects in the domain of Virtual Enterprises and Information Systems and Technologies. She regularly publishes in international peer-reviewed journals and participates on international scientific conferences. She serves as a member of Editorial Board and Associate Editor for several International Journals and for several Scientific Committees of International Conferences. She has authored and edited several books and her work appears in more than 100 papers published in journals, book chapters and conference proceedings. She is the co-founder and co-chair of several international conferences: CENTERIS Conference on ENTERprise Information Systems, ViNOrg - International Conference on Virtual and Networked Organizations: Emergent Technologies and Tools and SeGAH IEEE International Conference on Serious Games and Applications for Health.

Isabel Maria Miranda is currently the responsible by the Social Services Division of the Municipality of the city council of Guimar�es. I work in the financial services industry (in retirement planning) and like reading books about managing money. I'd read O'Leary's other books recently and enjoyed them.

There are four parts in this book:

* Love - the dating game, choosing a mate and the five languages of money
* Marriage - arranged marriages (why they can sometimes work), establishing your financial independence and building the bedrock of your partnership
* Kids - Give your kids an MBA (money & banking awareness), having them get a job, single parents, blended families and adopted kids, and letters from Uncle Kevin to your teenager and 20-something
* Family - building your business family tree, midlife crises and money mismanagement, and giving your marriage a fighting chance

Though I couldn't relate to the chapter on kids (since I don't have any), I liked the writing style and thought it flowed well. Since I watched the author on Dragons' Den and Shark Tank, I would hear "Mr. Wonderful's" voice in his writing ... it's direct and there's no BS. Despite the wealth he has, he is constantly teaching his children the value of money. For example, when he travels and he takes his kids with him, he has no qualms about buying himself (and his wife) a first class plane ticket and economy tickets for the kids.

There was a bit of a disconnect, though, when he talked about ways of saving money and one is to borrow movies from the library rather than going to the theatre. While I can't imagine him doing that today, perhaps he did things like this when his family was young and he was growing his business.

There are quizzes throughout such as "Do You Speak the Same Money Language as Your Mate?" and "Are you Financially Independent in Your Marriage?" There are pictures throughout the book of him and his family throughout the years.

Fire the proofer!!

Another great book with wonderful thoughts and ideas about families and wealth. However, whoever proofread this book before it was punished needs to be fired. I cannot count the number of typos and grammatical mistakes as well as just plain f ups in the text. I am not a grammer expert but even I could do better than this.

Keeping it real about money and relationships

Candid insight on money, relationships, and establishing a family dynasty. I don't agree with some of the advice about divorce and divided assets, but Kevin O'Leary is the millionaire and I'm not. Really appreciated his no BS tone of voice and shooting straight.

El libro es muy sencillo para el tipo de trabajo que realiza un Capell�n. Considero que necesita profundizar mas porque no refleja el contenido que debe poseer un Manual del Capell�n. Pereciera ser una descripci�n breve de la labor que realiza un capell�n. Siento que mi dinero fue mal invertido y quede decepcionada con la compra que realice. Lastima que la descripci�n que se da del articulo es muy convincente, pero no lo que se encuenta al leer el mismo.

A 'must' for all serious students of ancient Mesopotamia.

Postgate has written an extremely helpful volume for students of ancient Near Eastern history and culture. It is a scholarly work yet quite readable. His emphasis upon geographical and environmental factors is refreshing and fills a needed gap at this level. Brief citations from contemporanious texts provide helpful illustrations along the way. Always conservative in his own estimation, Postgate provides a variety of alternative solutions to problems and questions raised by the evidence. He does not hesitate, however, to challenge prevailing views where the evidence suggests an alternative like the central role of the temple vs. the palace in this ancient economic setting. The book opens with a historical survey and moves on to provide an understanding of early Mesopotamian society up to the Old Babylonian period. This is a very fine volume.

Excellent, but dry.

This is a true scholarly work, exhaustively researched and written by a pre-eminent authority in the field, making it unfortunately very dull. Postgate is unquestionably a master, with a vast knowledge of his field. He leaves no stone unturned, and explores all the critical issues in Mesopotamian archaeology, complete with numerous citations from cuneiform texts. However, being a true academic, his writing is very dry and sometimes awkward, making it difficult to stay awake when reading. Postgate provides detailed information and insightful commentaries on all aspects of Mesopotamian life, making this a worthwhile read. One can't help but wonder however, if the Mesopotamians weren't somewhat more exciting than Postgate's writing makes them.

I love this woman. I usually give four stars but this guidebook is superb and is written by just one woman. It describes things that you don't get in Lonely Planet or Rough Guide-Especially an entire word and phrase section which covers the gamut of what I wanted to know how to say-AWESOME! She also includes easy maps-not those confusing city maps containing things you would never need but maps easy to read with laundry services! I love her! This guide gives a detailed history of the country and its diverse inhabitants and it describes in detail eco-tourism, budget options, staying with families with links to websites, off the beaten path destinations in cool mountainous regions which is exactly what I was looking for and city sights and night life. Thank You for this book!
